I made this earring particularly to hold these purpley steel shavings. The iridescence of the steel goes so well with the sterling! My machinist friend brought me over an entire bag of it and told me he knew I would do something great with it!
I put it in a circle to capture it as it sits in there, loosely yet interlocking, so it will not move or fall out. The soft pattern of the sterling kind of mimics the curls of the steel.
There is a definite uniqueness to these. These are handmade and one of a kind. These will become one of a series.
Length is 2-1/2" from top to bottom of the circle.
